VISYFARM conference 10-11.11.2023

Summarizing the research results of the project “VIABILITY OF SMALL FARMS MANAGED BY YOUNG FARMERS UNDER NEW "FARM-TO-FORK" STRATEGY” (financed by Erasmus+ programme No 2020-1-CZ01-KA203-078495) the international scientific conference is going to be held at Faculty of Economics of  Poznań University of Life Sciences. On November 10-11 the scientific discussion will focus on  the role of small farms and young farmers in the agriculture, theirs market position and effects of cooperation&integration in the context of the forthcoming agricultural policy change leading to "farm-to-fork" strategy implementation. In the plenary session, invited guests will provide an opportunity to confront the results of the project with the achievements of other scientific institutions conducting research in the field of short food supply chains in small farms, family farming under food systems transformation as well as the viability of farm in the context of succession problem.

In addition to a record of the scientific achievements of the research conducted, implementation elements will be presented, i.e. new price comparing tool and the software modelling product dedicated for young farmers. The recommendations for development of small farms and young farmers will be debated during a discussion panel, with the participation of economic practitioners - young farmers from different countries.
